Disable recommended section in Windows 11 Start menu?

A lot of people do not consider Windows 11 stable enough for their daily driver due to which many reverted to Windows 10. There are certain annoying things in Windows 11 which includes the Recommended section in Start Menu. If you’re someone who is annoyed by the same, then you can disable the recommended section of Windows 11’s Start menu.

However, before we begin, let me make one thing clear – you can only disable it, but not completely remove it. So, once you’re done, you won’t be recommended different apps or files, but the section will stay there, asking you to enable it. I wish Microsoft would let use completely remove it, but nothing we can do about it right now.

There is a way by which you can get Windows 10-like Start menu without installing any third-party software, I’ll write an article on it soon and will update this article.

How to disable Recommended section in Start Menu of Windows 11?

It’s quite simple-

1. Right click in Desktop and click on Personalize. Or you can choose the long path- right click on Start menu, open Settings and then Personalization.

Now the recommended section of Windows 11’s Start menu should be disabled.

Conclusion:

If you still find some files in there, remove them from the list and you won’t find any more apps in there. And that’s it. If you’re unsatisfied, you can get Windows 10-like Start menu too and I’ll add link for the tutorial here once I’ve published the article. However, remember, Microsoft might “fix” that workaround anytime and that will stop working anytime. So, try to embrace the new UI if you really wanna stick with Windows 11.
